Will you still need me, will you still feed me when I’m sixty-four?

The Beatles released this song when I was 19. Sixty-four was unimaginable then; and at 29 and 39. By 49, it was seeming possible. At 59, likely. Today: Happy Birthday to me.

When I was growing up, I rmember thinking I would be 40 in the year 2000 – it seemed like science fiction, and I imagined we’d all be living like The Jetsons πŸ™‚

I did the same thing, except I would be 52! Wondered if I would still be listening to rock & roll. Guess what … I was (at 52) and am (at 64).
